01 About Livria

Livria is a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows secondary school students in Cameroon to buy and sell used textbooks. The app is operated by Beleke Ian Langeh, an individual developer based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Livria acts solely as a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions occur directly between the buyer and seller, offline, using cash or mobile money (MTN MoMo or Orange Money).

02 Eligibility

By using Livria, you confirm that:

• You are a student, parent, or educator in Cameroon.
• You will use the app only for buying and selling legitimate educational materials.
• If you are under 18, you have obtained permission from a parent or guardian to use the app.
• The information you provide during registration is accurate and truthful.

03 User accounts

You must sign in with a valid Google account to post listings or save books. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your Google account secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Ensuring your WhatsApp number is correct, as buyers will use it to contact you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

04 Listing rules

4.1 You may only list

• Used or new textbooks used in Cameroonian secondary schools.
• Books that you legally own and have the right to sell.
• Books in the condition accurately described — Good, Fair, or Poor.

4.2 You may NOT list

• Stolen books or books that do not belong to you.
• Counterfeit, photocopied, or pirated books.
• Non-educational materials (novels, comics, magazines).
• Any item that is not a book.
• Listings with false or misleading information.

4.3 Photo requirements

• Photos must show the actual book you are selling — not stock images.
• The book cover must be clearly visible in at least one photo.
• Photos must not contain inappropriate content.

05 Transactions

Livria does not process payments. All payments happen directly between buyers and sellers outside the app.

• The buyer and seller agree on transaction details privately on WhatsApp.
• Payment is made directly by cash, MTN MoMo, or Orange Money.
• The exchange of the physical book is arranged between the two parties.

5.1 Safety recommendations

• Meet in a public place such as a school, market, or busy street.
• Inspect the book thoroughly before paying.
• Bring the exact amount of cash or confirm MoMo transfer before handing over the book.
• Do not send money before receiving the book.

5.2 Disputes

06 Ratings & reviews

• Your rating is honest and based on a real transaction.
• You will not submit fake or malicious ratings to harm another user's reputation.
• Ratings cannot be edited once submitted.

We reserve the right to remove ratings that we believe are fraudulent or abusive.

07 Prohibited conduct

• Use the app for any illegal purpose.
• Post spam or duplicate listings.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the app or via WhatsApp contact obtained through the app.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app or its servers.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension.
• Use the app to scrape data or build a competing service.
• Post listings with artificially inflated prices with no intention to sell.

08 Intellectual property

The Livria app, including its design, logo, and code, is owned by Beleke Ian Langeh. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission.

By posting a listing, you grant Livria a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your listing content within the app. You retain ownership of your photos and listing content.

09 Disclaimers

Livria is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That the app will be available at all times without interruption.
• That listings are accurate or that sellers will complete transactions.
• That the app is free of bugs or errors.
• That buyers will receive books in the condition described by sellers.

Use of the app is at your own risk.

10 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beleke Ian Langeh shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of money resulting from a transaction between users.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
• Any content posted by users, including inaccurate listing descriptions.

11 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Livria at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination, your listings will be removed from the public feed. Your account data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, unless you request immediate deletion.

12 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

13 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Yaoundé, Cameroon.
